New machine...Bernina, Pfaff, Brother???

I need a new machine and not sure of where to turn for one. In my area we have one company that has several stores in the area and are the "only" store...but they are heavy into "Sales" and it might take a bit to get your machine.
I have a Pfaff that is going kaputt so am looking to replace it. It is the C.V. 5.0 and has served me well in the past 10 years. It was capable of embroidery and was convenient to run two embroideries at the same time. I also have the Brother Duetta which I love.
So, I am trying to get a new machine and not sure if I want it to be embroidery capable...but I love having that choice.
I cannot spend 5k or more...
Please let me know what you like and why.
I have been looking at the Bernina 560 or the Pfaff C.V. 2500
All help is appreciated.
Kirsten

I am currently having fun with my ruler foot and rulers on my Bernina. If you are interested in that see if both machines are ruler foot capable.

You didn't mention Viking, but they have a couple promos this month on Topaz 50 and Ruby. Both are under $5K and are embroidery capable, not sure if either would be a fit. http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/Promos

I prefer my brother vseries to the bernina 5 series by far. I do like the pfaff IDT but for their higher end machines I still felt like they were lacking in the other areas for the cost. I used the pfaff 5.0 I believe. I'd go brother or janome IMHO the janome 9400 or 6700 are very lovely machines I would consider if I did have my dreamweaver

I love my Bernina!!! I also have a Viking Sapphire and a small Janome. My favorite is the Bernina!

I have a Bernina 560 and love it. It does everything I need it to do. I love that the alphabet can do 9mm letters and there is so much more that I have not even tried to do yet. I did not buy the embroidery module as I didn't want to spend another $800.

Right now Pfaff is pushing the new Icon. Many are trading up, so a newer but used model of one of the Creatives might be a good buy right now.
Though I'd love to have the Icon, it is waaaaaaaaaaay beyond my means. Would literally have to win the lottery, if I could make myself buy a ticket.

I studied lots of You Tube and user comments and finally bought a Brother PQ1500SL. About $600 from a dealer on ebay. Couldn't be happier. It is modeled after BabyLock Jane I think. Only sews straight stitches but for my free motion quilting it is perfect. Took awhile to get adjusted to it because bobbin placement is awkward and it has no speed control. But it sews beautifully for my purposes
