Hi Darren!
I love love love my Juki. No fuss, no problems. A joy to sew on. Happy for you!

I hope you plan on keeping your wife! She sounds wonderful!

I love Juki machines, used to sew on an industrial machine when I was working. My husband gifted me a Juki TI200 Qi for Christmas a couple of years ago. I love it.

Oh how nice of your wife to buy you one! Lucky man !
While I love my Janome machines, (one of them is in time-out right now), I don't have the serpentine stitch on either of them. I'd give anything to have one for some reason. Maybe I just want another machine? Will keep the Jjuki in mind in case I give in to temptation.

Hi all -

I didn’t get to spend much time with the new toy yesterday like I planned, but I will answer a couple of questions anyway.

@loisf The machine has several features that my Pfaffs don’t have. Plus I like the Juki technology and quality. The wide throat is a nice feature. I love the option to stop with the needle down and the foot up. It came with a wide table and several feet that I’m curious to try out. It has amazing lighting. I know there are other things about it that I haven’t explored yet, but plan to over time.

@Iceblossom It sounds like one of the TL machines would be good for you. They are semi-industrial, straight stitch, and high quality. I like that they bring their industrial machine know how to the domestic market. And if you really need an occasional zig zag or decorative stitch you could find an inexpensive machine at a big box store or pick up something used.

@QuiltE My wife is the one who got me into quilting. She doesn’t do near as much anymore but I keep hoping to get her back to it. My daughter likes the idea of sewing but doesn’t really spend much time actually doing it. She did claim our Featherweight as her own though so she does have a machine. I hope she eventually gets more into it also.

@Chasing Hawk and @LGJARN52 yes my wife is a keeper! I have two perfectly nice machines and never really wanted a new one until I saw this one demo’d online. Her machine is a higher end Pfaff that has some of the same features and I can always use it if I want to. I tried to discourage her from buying this one but she insisted that I “needed” it so who am I to argue?🤣

NICE!!

I've been a Bernina "girl" for decades, but have no interest in all of the bells and whistles they have added in the last few years. Juki is one of the other brands I have been thinking of, as my Bernina is aging out.

Congratulations on your new Juki. I too am a Pfaff owner and until I got my Juki TL2010 thought I would never own another brand. When my Performance 5.0 dies I will be switching to a Juki to replace her. I have a Passport 2.0 that I bought for classes and again when it dies it will be replaced with a travel Juki. If you haven't already discovered it Juki Junkies has a Facebook page for Juki owners. You can ask questions if having trouble or offer suggestions to others. Have fun with your new machine and keep us updated.

WeSing ... maybe MrsWeSing had ulterior motives? Just so she could either use it ... or inherit your old one? :) After all, she is a pretty smart lady!! As for LilWeSing ... Smart Kid to claim a Featherweight as her own!! chip off the two ol' blocks perhaps? From what you have shared before, she's a pretty busy young Miss. She probably has absorbed a lot, and when she is ready, will take right off. All within due course!

One more thing, WeSing ... how do you create this .... @QuiltE ?
Please? and Thanks!!

@QuiltE yes you did it!
