Looking to buy new or good used sewing machine.
Am looking locally and on ebay.
Have my eye on a pfaff 2124 w/embroidery unit IDT dual feed brand new for under a thousand
and a Husquarna viking designer II four years old with interchangable D card.
Really wanted something with USB port.
Ladies I want opinions and advise.
Thanks,
Mayra

I have the Pfaff and I love it! I don't use it as much because I like to use the larger arm machine to piece.

New Pfaff 2124? It's not a current model on Pfaff's site. I love the IDT. I'm considering a used Pfaff also.

pfaff 2124 and or 2170 sew/embroidery
I wonder if they user friendly or in my case easy. I like to use my brain power on the quilt itself

The software for these was suppose to be easier to use. I have the 7570 and the software is/was a bear to learn (which I never did master). I also have a Brother 2002D or 2003D embroidery machine that I use only for the embroidery and love. I use the Pfaff only for piecing and the IDT is the only way I will ever go...

I bought a used Pfaff 2140 upgraded to 2170. Love it. I have embroidery just a few designs but so far I found the software userfriendly. This one doesnt' have a USB port, you must use the cards but I just bought a serial cable to connect it to the computer and will be able to dowload designs from the web.
For piecing I also have a Pfaff. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
I paid 1600 for the used machine with the embroidery unit at the dealer. It came with free lessons for life.
