I am going to have to see if my Dollar Tree has those paper towel holders! I have never seen them there :( I would love to replace my friend's coffee mug - and surprise another one of my friends with one.... How long ago did he make that for you?? It's sweet :) I'm really digging it! It makes me want to run out there right now and see if they have those holders :) |
These holders are available in different stores, check places like Family dollar, dollar general, You may pay a little more but probably not, They may even have them at Walmart. It has been about a year since he made it. He just snipped the one wire off a few inches and curled the top over. make one with stiff wire and a block of wood. I always try to think outside the box!

I've always sewn with my thread in the upright postion and never had a problem. Even my multithread holder for my machine embroider is upright. I didn't know there was thread made to be used only in the horizontal position. (?)

Checking out the suggested sites as I need one. My old cheapie Brother's spindles broke off and I use a Mason jar like one of the other gals. I've looked at the plastic ones but they don't look too sturdy and probably move a lot and crack easily. Saw a beautiful metal one but it was $35 - way too much for me. May in Jersey

Mine isn't heavy but seems to work just fine, It doesn't jiggle around at all. I would make one before I would spend money to buy one, After all we are creative people!!
I don't know if I already posted this but you could use one of those banana hanger's also, just add a wooden peg for your thread. |
