congratulations you will enjoy your new Janome. I have used several of the Janome machines and liked them. Changed to Brothers because of the dealer service and care.

Congrats. I have a Janome 6600 too!!!

quiltpassion 10-27-2011 08:17 AM

Congrats on your new purchase and have fun! I bought a new 6600 in August this year and Love, Love, Love it! The only thing I wish it had is a beeping sound to let me know I am running out of bobbin thread. Especially when I am machine quilting. Otherwise, I can't find a thing I don't like. Happy Sewing!

So disappointed that I won't get to play around with it today.

watson's mom 10-27-2011 04:46 PM

I have a 6600 and the table for it by Janome also. I wouldn't trade it for all my other machines put together and they aren't junk. I would buy another one if I could get a great deal like you did. Congratulations.

Haven't decided on a name yet.....will have to see how she sews! LOL! She may have several names if she isn't behaving.

csharp 10-27-2011 06:29 PM

I have one too, and love it, but does anyone know if you can get a "longer" power cord than the one that comes with it, sometimes I turn the machine like a longarm machine and free motion quilt that way, but the power cord is shorter than I'd like and I have to use an extension cord????

nursie76 10-27-2011 06:32 PM

Congrats! Enjoy! so sorry you can't play right away, but it will be soooo sweet when you do!

moonwolf47 10-27-2011 06:43 PM

Congrats!! Do you belong to the Janome forum on Yahoo? If not, you may want to join, as we are a friendly group, & there's lots of info about 6500, 6600 and 7700 machines.

brosier 10-31-2011 04:17 PM

the Janome 6600 is my all time favorite sewing machine...
and I traded it in on at 7700 and sold the 6600 to my sister...
About 2 months later, I bought another 6600 for only $100 more than my sister paid me...
but I have both now...
love them both, but - 6600 is my fave.

Sounds like you will be my go to person when I have questions! I certainly love her so far. I did a binding yesterday with the walking foot thingy....OMG, so fast and easy and accurate! Never would have thought there could be so much difference.
