Hi my name is Patty and i just joined but have been a follower for a while.
I have a quilt block that i donot know the name of or where to find the pattern for. My mom and i hand piece a quilt each winter and this is the one she wants to do. So i was wondering if anyone could help me out? Thanks in advance. Patty |
Welcome aboard, Patty! I don't know the name, but if I find it, I'll let you know.
This crew is great for helping out with stuff like this. There is a lot of knowledge out there, so I'm sure someone will find it for you. |
Hi, and welcome to the board. Can't help you with the block though, sorry!

Hi Patty, welcome from NE Ohio.

Hi Patty....welcome. I love the block, but don't know the name of it. I bet someone here will know.

I will try to see if I can find it in my jinny beyer book later

Welcome from TX. Might be a block from Carol Doak - 50 fabulous paper pieced stars. Good luck.

Welcome from NW Ohio!
Sorry don't know the name of the block but I like it. |
Welcome from Coos Bay, Oregon
|
Can you tell us where you saw the block? That might help us track it down for you. It looks (to me) like someone's personal variation of an Ohio star, with a little bit of Irish Chain thrown in...
|
First of all: Welcome from Ontario. Your star block is similiar to the Reserve's Star at Quilter's Cache. I did not search through all her gazillion star block patterns, just about half a gazillion, and this is what I had found. You will find the board informative and friendly, and a daily source of inspiration.

Welcome from Michigan!:)

Do you need to know measurements, how to put it together, a paper piecing pattern or what? It doesn't look difficult if you break it down.

Thanks to all for such a warm welcome,
I couldn't get back in to post last night as it didn't like anything i was trying to do. I had to leave early this morning to take mom for minor surgery and just got back home an hour ago. She will be fine, just sore. Thanks to all who are trying to help me find it i will go to theQuitlers Cache to look, and as to where i saw it ,it was on an embroidery group i belong to a couple of years ago. I am just now getting around to doing it. they had put machine embroidery blocks of sunbonnet sues and sams between this block it made up so nice. Patty |
