Well, I've finally got my fabric obsession somewhat under control. Now I find myself looking at thread. I have lots of colors from Connecting Threads. Recently I got a variegated set from Threadart who were kind enough to put me on their email list. OK, I admit I volunteered for that. Now I find myself drooling over all the thread sets each time I get the newsletter. [sigh] Guess there's no hope for a junky.

I too love looking at thread sets - guess it's the pretty colors that attract me.

Oh dear! I was afraid that might happen...it did when I was a cross-stitcher...so far only fabric is calling my name with quilting. Wonder how long that will last???
|
I always liked thread even before I started quilting I had an assortment of colors.
|
I already started that. I ordered several sets from Connecting Threads, but ofcourse it isn't every color in the rainbow. Almost! If anyone would have told me that I would spend that much money on thread at any one time, I would have told them they are out of their ever-lovin mind. Actually, I think I was. LOL

Stocked up on connecting threads, (thread) told DH the board made me do it!

Okay I have to stop hanging out here...this stuff is contagious...Yikes!

This board is terrible for the addicted!!
Since I joined I've bought fabrics I never used to like, old Singers (4) and tons of other things I "had to have" lol :D:D |

I have been sewing 50 years. I started "collecting" thread when I got my embroidery machine 10 years ago. Never really learned to use it to it's limit. About 2 years ago my sister got a brother machine from Walmart and I found that machine easier to understand. Suddenly I needed more thread and E-bay was my new best friend. I have had to stop my self from buying more thread sets. Problem now is that I have a quilting machine and quilting uses a lot of thread and most of my spools are 1100 yards or less. I am now watching the 5000 yard spool sets.

At least your thread addiction is just to the cheaper thread at CT...I am addicted to Aurifil! Even though I can buy it wholesale..holy cow....
|
I know what you mean. I never dreamed I would have this much thread.....and fabric.....and sewing machines. I'm hooked.
|
lol, I've got my thread list started!!! I want variegated thread for the quilting machine. I'm holding off for now, but can't wait to make my order.
|
That's why I'm staying away from embroidery. Seriously, with the fabric and the SMAD, I've got to say no to something! I used to cross-stitch, and I've got $$$ worth of patterns, floss, and linen I'll never use.

i am so addicted, between quilting and embroidery i must have 1000 spools. every size from free samplers to 5000 yd spools. at least it doesn't take up as much space as my fabric stash.
