There is a new quilt shop in SE Michigan called Quilt Heaven. It was opened by my sister Lois Rawlings in May, 2011 and is located in Lambertville, MI about 5-6 miles north of the Ohio state line. Things are really beginning to take off and she is preparing to start offering classes. Currently the store is featuring civil war reproduction fabrics. Thanks for the interest.

It's nice to hear of a shop opening instead of closing. When we're on the Harley, riding around the State, I'm always sad to see quilt shops now closed that I used to shop at.
Wishing her much good luck and a prosperous business! |
Yay! A new shop to explore. Thanks for letting us know.

I am up by Flint, so do I take 23 south? calla

Yes, take 23 south. We have more detailed directions on our website (myquiltheaven.com) and we are also on Facebook.

Thanks for mentioning! I'll have to check it out!! I'm at 23 & 94.

Thanks to all of you for expressing interest in Quilt Heaven. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 22. We will be having a grand opening celebration.

Some more info about Quilt Heaven: we do have classroom space available and there is class info available on our website. The 3rd Friday of each month is going to be our Projects in Progress work day - for a mere $5 you can bring your stuff to store and work on your projects in a friendly atmosphere. I'll try to post a picture when I have some more time. Any questions either ask here or send me a PM
