I would suggest laying them out... taking a picture of it... changing the layout... take another picture, etc and then look at the pictures and decide which layout you like the best.
I personally chuck the squaring up stuff. Life's too short to have to deal with even more scraps! I have too many scrap boxes as it is. :D |
I think you can crochet them or braid them make a little mug rug

Lynnie -- how would you attach the jellyfish body to the quilt? I can see it but just not sure how to attach it so it stands up off the quilt.

I did this for 3d jellyfish on a wall quilt: take the clearest bridal illusion, or one with a tint with some glitz to it, form your top bulb of the jellyfish body and stuff those pretty color strips into the body part, let a few hang out as the tentacles.

That sounds beautiful -- I might give that a try!

I'm thinking I'd put a block in the center and radiate out in gradient 'colors' - IF you have enough blocks to do that. (much like your colors in your skinnies are grouped) Can you do a couple of layouts and post pics?
I have nothing for you on the skinnies! I toss mine without hesitation :) |
I put mine on my design wall, then look at them thru a door peep, I bought at Lowes for a couple of dollars.
|
Wow, what beautiful colors! That will make a fantastic quilt.
|
Beautiful, fabric blocks!

I love the colors you have chosen and agree with others that you need to put them on the design wall, take pictures and then decide. Are they all batiks? Not sure about the scraps.... Please let us know what you decide!

Ooooh, gorgeous!

I think I'd follow the colors of a rainbow for the layout. Good luck!
