I found a shape cutter ruler in 8's at Hancocks. It was even on sale for 40% off. Has any one else seen or used this ruler?

I've got something similar, but a bit bigger I think. Mine has slots half an inch apart, I think it is a Taylor one. (I didn't get it 40% off though, so well done with that.)

Haven't seen one before. Interested to see how you actually use it.

Hadn't seen that one before; truly a specialty ruler, I would think.

For 40% off I'd buy it not matter what size it was. A specialty ruler always comes in handy at some point.

I have a June Taylor one that is very similar to this one. Mine has slots at every 1/2 inch. Very easy to use and have been pleased with how much faster it is to cut multiple strips without having to move the ruler as much.

I have one but I have not used it. :?

Anybody have trouble nicking the ruler when they are inserting the cutter blade?

This one sure looks handy!

To avoid nicking the ruler, don't try to put the blade in straight up and down. If you hold the cutter so the blade is a bit sideways, on an angle, then slide it GENTLY over until you feel it "click" into the groove. Then tilt the cutter straight up and down and it will slip into the groove.

I really WANT one of these! I love that your's has the slots 1/8" apart :D:D:D

Thanks, Canada! I'll try that!

I use this specialty ruler almost every single time I do some cutting. It's accurate and easy to use.

I have one of these, and it's different than the standard June Taylor Shape Cut. This one has cuts for certain eights. It's made by June Taylor and is relatively new, copyright 2010.

To cut 2-7/8, cut on the green triangles. To cut 3-3/8, cut on the purple stars. To cut 3-7/8, cut on the green circles. To cut 4-3/8, cut on the purple hexigons. And to cut 5-3/8, cut on the purple heart.

I don't cut eights often, and hate it when I do. This ruler makes it a dream!

Oh, I used my 40% coupon, too. With a 40% coupon, I can buy lots of toys!
