I finally purchased my new sewing machine. Thanks for all the suggestions and advice from everyone here. It is actually my birthday present from DH but we thought it better if I picked it out.

I got a Singer Confidence 7470 Electronic Sewing Machine. It has 175 Stiches, automatic needle threader, alphabet & pattern memor, drop & sew bobbin, needle up down.

I got a sweet deal because it was an open box and the last one. I got it at Joanns and the lady threw in the walking and free motion foot. I am very happy with it. Plus I got some type of extended work table.

Congrats on the new arrival! Just got a new little one myself, just 2 weeks ago. Isn't it fun! Feels like you should send out birth announcements or something, doesn't it? ;-)
