New side clamps for my long arm

In another post I said that my side clamps had bit the dust and I had ordered new ones. Well, they came today..great timing as I had just loaded a quilt. I ordered the Grip Lite clamps and may I just tell you how wonderful they are?! My old ones were the Feather Light ones and while they were wonderful compared with the clamps that came with my machine, they didn't hold a candle to these new ones. The Feather Light did not play nicely with Minky or fleece. I'm using fleece as a backing today with no problems whatsoever. Happy camper here!

Glad you found something that works for you. I like the Red-E-Edge side clamps, sold by Renae Haddadin, who also sells the Red Snappers. They hold the entire side of the backing evenly and are easily adjusted. I use the clamps that came with the Innova to provide the tension. (The clamps that came with the machine were not good by themselves - but excellent for this purpose.)

I just make mine out of pillow fabric that I had put a wooden dowel on one end used clamps for my Velcro straps and just pin it to the quilt so mine are approximately 10" square seems to work good

They look pretty good - but how does the Velcro attach them?

With the Grip Lites, you can just wrap the Velcro strip around the post and back onto itself, or you can get some wider self sticking Velcro and put around the post and then attach the Grip Lite Velcro to that. I just attached it the first way and it works great. These clamps are so easy on my aching hands. And they play nicely with fleece and Minky...that's a big plus for me.
