Hi Regina, welcome from Dallas Tx. How great to have our technical people to help us. I have a remote for my hearing aids. Love it. You'll love it here. Everyone will help you with everything. I know it.

Hello from Northern California and welcome. There is at least one other blind quilter in circulation and she does fabulous work. Her name is Diane Rose. Here is a link to her website:
http://www.theamazingquilter.com/ I do know that sewing tools are available with modifications to accommodate a blind person (but you probably already have them). |
Welcome, and just remember ALL of us were beginners at one time and we all made a first quilt. Our Pastor is totally blind and she knits. She decided she didn't want to add quilting to her many talents. Be sure to check out the website about Diane Rose.

Welcome Regina, I have found that Joanns has had flannel in colors and attractive prints on sale for as little as $2.50 a yard. I purchase as much of it as I can afford when that happens. I make about 20 Linus quilts a month and like to back them with flannel. While purchasing clothing at thrift stores to use for fabric works it is a lot of extra work. If you can get the fabric that cheap at Joanns or Walmart you get a whole lot more bang for your buck with less work.
