What can I do with small pieces of batting? Someone posted a great idea the other day .Thought I bookmarked it .Not

I use the batting tape and fuse them together to get the size I need for a small project. I don't save much of the small pieces, too much hassle to store and use.

If the pieces are big enough to fuse together, I do that and use it for a quilt. Small pieces are perfect for hot pads and pot holders. Or I use them for practicing FMQ.

QAYG projects, quilted luggage handles, coasters, pot holders, sew them together to make a big enough piece to do something else with. Use them for stuffing pet beds...

Sorry but what is batting tape? Not something I have seen for sale here in the UK but have several pieces of batting about 2 oe 3 foot wide and would like to use them.

i save all my pieces and the smaller ones are used to stuff toys.

I save all my batting pieces....only throw away something smaller than 4". I have sewn together several pieces to make a large enough piece for a lap quilt. I just but the edges (not overlapped) and then use a multi-stitch-zig-zag to connect the pieces.... If the pieces are too small to effectively piece I save for potholders, place mates, christmas crafts (snow ?) and use up in a baby flannel rag quilt.....

Here is one brand of the tape:

Cut into 4" squares and use for the middle of rag quilts.

I've never used the fusing tape before, but I have used fusible interfacing. I've also simply whip stitched pieces together and that works great. I made Christmas ornaments one year and used pieces to stuff them with. Small mice shaped toys and odd shapes to torment BU BU (my cat)with.
