I know there are a lot of us that find sites that help beginners, etc. I love About.com and then click into quilting. This has been a real learning experience for several various things that I have been want to try and have. She also offers a lot of free patterns, in additions to the pattern and the how to make it that she gives directions on. Just a thought. Since I have a problem with comprehenstion or speech sometimes, it's much easier to just be able to follow along something that can save and review.

I do better with illustrations, too.
Show me - and then leave instructions - and then show me again! |

I like her too. Sometime in the past, I signed up for her email newsletter. I just received one today. She has some very helpful tips in her newsletter.
