Was trying to make this:

http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/05/bookkeeper.html

But when sewing the strips together they seem to want to curve, i am using a moda honey bun, and far as i can tell i have cut the batting square.

What is it that i could be doing wrong?

Thanks for the help.

Try sewing from different ends, if you always add the next strip from the same end, it will bow.
Also, be very careful with your pressing :D:D:D

This is good advice. I might add, do not iron until finished sewing all strips together.

Also, try no to pull one strip more than the other when you sew. Let the strips lay naturally over one another.
