Nighty night Will by Bunny Hill

Has anyone made this quilt? I am fairly new to quilting and would like to try this - just not sure how hard it would be. Any input appreciated!

I just started with iron fusible applique, I have always done hand sewn needle turn. I never felt the needle turn was difficult, just time consuming. Either way, these pieces look large enough not to be too hard. The fusible is quicker. My machine as a blanket stitch I love the look of.

I love to do fusible applique. I use steam a seam II Lt. and then do a buttonhole stitch by hand with matching embroidery floss, but you can use your machine to stitch around too. I just love to do hand work. Whatever method you use, it will be beautiful. Love the pattern!

I use Wonderunder for fusible appliqué and a machine buttonhole stitch around the edge. For large appliqués, I "window" the pieces. That is where you remove the Wonderunder center leaving about 1/2 inch ( 1/4 inch outside the line and 1/4 inside the line) before fusing it the the back of the fabric and cutting it out. This makes the large pieces softer in the quilt. With Mistyfuse you may not need to window but I haven't used it before?

I jumped into applique and loved it. Do use a fuseable and stitch slowly. I don't always use buttonhole stitch, just whatever I think will look good (not a satin stitch). Have fun!

I love her patterns! I'm working on Merry Merry Snowmen. You will want an applique pressing sheet, it helps wth
the placement of your pieces. I do some applique by machine, then when my back starts hurting I have some
cut and ready to do while watching tv! Have fun and show us a picture when you are done!!
