Nine patch question
1 Attachment(s)
I working on a nine patch block. I want to make it a D9P, but not sure if my colors are too busy. I could just leave it as a block and finish out the quilt. I have enough to make 12 blocks. What do you'll think?

I think you have enough fabrics that 'read' solid. It will make a bright cheery quilt!
I agree with soccertxi and think it would turn out really nice!
Each of those prints is going to be cut, so no, it won't be too busy.
I agree with everyone. It will be beautiful!
I think the colors are probably fine. I think I would put the dark brown in the center though. I found a darker center piece works well.
Go for it. You will be surprised!
Love it! Please post pictures again when your done!!
I think its going to be great... go for it!
Go ahead and make a D9P. It will be really pretty.
I like to keep the centre dark or bright and consistent. It pulls the whole quilt together and makes it look like some planning went into it.
Either way it will be great...
I would love to see it when you are finished with it, I agree the dark would be better in the center.

I agree with the suggestion of moving the dark brown to the center, but either way will look good.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Too late to move the brown to the middle, so I will just move forward and see how it turns out! pics later :)
You can print out some of your blocks, cut up the paper copies, and reassemble to see how it will look.
It would be really pretty, go for it.
