Kevin called again and I have my machine! Too late to start basting so will sew tonight and glue baste after breakfast tomorrow. Forgot how quiet this machine is. All is SO much better in my sewing/quilting life.

I have 6 quilt tops but have no place to lay them out, all places I used to use are closed due to the virus.
|
I have 9 tops I made in 2020 and a bunch of UFO's from years before. I plan on working on them this winter. Many will be done on my domestic machine as my mid arm is down for the count right now. Mostly I will do SITD just because it is easier to manage on my DSM. I finished a small table topper this morning that I plan on doing tomorrow.

Hope you get your machine back soon. I feel like a fish out of water when my machine is in for a clean up.

Sewing binding on quilt.
Binding cut for second quilt. Third quilt tapping it's foot waiting for binding. Next step will be to look for thread whiskers. |
I can appreciate my repair guy since it’s never more than a couple of days.
Out of town quilters can drop off their machines and in most cases, it can be picked up on their way home. |
I understand about your local Project Linus only wanting completed quilts. Both my local quilt guild and the Quilts for Kids chapter I used to belong to have a plethora of quilt tops needing quilting. The quilt guild has them sandwiched and pinned even, but the QFK group seldom did. I have a Sweet16, and I did one quilt every week or two for the guild until my Christmas sewing and snowbird trip got in the way. I will probably start up again in the late spring.
