My friend has a very very limited space to quilt. And no room to spread a quilt top on the floor to sandwich. And this is what she does....
In her bathroom, she uses her shower rod and has rings that she clips onto her quilt back, then the batting and then the top. And then she will hand baste it, take it down and sew it on her machine. Pretty inventive I think. When a peice needs to be ironed, she uses one of those steam irons they advertize on TV that uses just steam and won't burn you or pop a balloon. |
Wow I never would have thought of that!!!

I know pretty inventive I think.

Wow I am gonna try this cause I usually use my picnic table in the warm months. I can't keel on the floor so this will be perfect if my spring rod shower curtian will hold the weight . I can't wait to try it!

That is a great solution

Last time I was at retreat I hung my quilts on one of the design walls to sandwich them. The other ladies were amazed at how fast it easy it was to do it that way. I'd never thought about a shower rod though.

I use pants hangers with the clips and hang them from the brackets for the garage door, then I can pin and if I scratch the door, no one cares. tee hee

That is a wonderful idea of using the shower curtain rod. I just have no floor space and I can't sit on the floor even if I had the space. This is one great idea that you came up with.

Very clever. Thanks for sharing.

Clever idea, one that I'm going to use. This is another reason I'm loving this forum, all the good, working practical ideas as well as artistic talent here.
