I, for one, took it literally when they said "the one who dies with the most fabric wins..." lol

Zi downsized my stash of garnet fabrics a couple of years ago so I could build my quilting stash, my BF is a horrible instigator esp when he knows red tag fabric is half price at the Joann I work at... He says buy it all because I will eventually use it.... I hope lol we got lots of precuts on clearance at wal- mart when the got the fabric department back.... All the more to add to my stash and I also find quilt shops when we travel and buy whatever they have in their sale area depending on what it is...

I totally understand. This happens when antique shopping (or junk store hopping LOL). I would see something that I loved and decide to have a 'cool down' period and, if I still liked it I would go back to get it...often it would be gone...then I would have a big case of "Buyer's Regret".

I'm finding that happens with fabric as well. See something, do a cool down, go back...not enough or completely gone. yep...Buyer's Regret.
