Hi
I have been quilting for about 1 1/2 years now - I think I will consider myself a newbie for at least the next 10 years 0 SO MUCH to LEARN!!! NormaBeth |
We're all newbies to something in the quilt world.

I think once you have successfully completed the straight-line beginner patterns and move onto curves, smaller pieces, applique.... but Dunster is correct. We are all Newbies at one quilting juncture or other.

I've only been quilting for about 2 years and am still a newbie. Everytime I log onto this board, I see how much I know but also how much more I need to learn. Will probably go to my grave as a newbie.

1000th post? Wow. That's awesome. Congrats!
2-year newbie |

I started as a 4-patch charity quilter who didn't know how to do a binding, and over the course of 10 years I have gradually added to my skills (at my own pace). I am still a beginner, but now I consider myself a "confident beginner". That means I have enough knowledge to usually know when I have messed up, but still have the confidence to carefully plunge ahead in new areas.
My goal is to get past "confident beginner" and make it to "advanced beginner." The journey is so much fun! Dayle |
Started quilting in 1977. Would like to say I'm an advanced quilter, but nothing could be further from the truth. Don't think my skills will ever advance past intermediate. I do the best I'm capable of and enjoy the process.
