Note to put with mug rugs?
 

When you gift a mug rug have you ever included a note to explain its use? If so could you please tell me what the note said? I plan to make some mug rugs for Christmas gifts but I'm not sure everyone will know what it is for. Thanks

I think it's key to let the recipient know it's not intended as a pot holder. I've heard people talk about the handmade but too thin, and kind of oversized and odd shaped potholders they've been given, and I think to myself-- bet that was a mug rug.
