Does anyone here have the Gypsy Sit Upon and if so how do you feel about it? I am especially interested in hearing from anyone who...how do I say this delicately?...has a full-figure bottom.

BTW, it's a purplish round nubby textured pillow thing to sit on

my friend bought one and doesn't really like it

I tried one out, briefly, at a sewing show and I liked it. Too expensive there, though. Much cheaper at Hittle's Sewing.

Do you know what she didn't like about it?

The picture and description look a lot like the cushion that my special needs wiggly students sit on if they need to. The inflatable cushion makes them have to balance themselves a little and it takes some of their energy to do that...keeps them sitting with correct posture.

I wouldn't like those nubs... I wonder if they have these without them?

When I worked in the schools I was in a course for sp. ed. students and the instructor showed us something like this and asked us to sit on it. Well, if this is anything like I sat on I'll definitely be getting one!!! I've had lower back problems over the years and as soon as I sat on this thing - did my back feel wonderful. I would really like to find it locally to sit on and try it out to make sure its the samething though.

And I do have a wide load!! :-D

I have to look these up. I've never heard of them.

Reminds me of the beaded seat covers that were popular in the late 80's. Did anyone else use those. I wore one out driving from Florida to Indiana during grad school, but never replaced it. I'd love to try one out, but not for $30 ish.

Cheers, K

Here's one for $13.00. But shipping is almost 10 bucks! Sheesh, looks comfy, though.
