What notions & tools are on your wish list? What notions & tools are hard to find at LQS's? Inquiring minds want to know! http://www.bright-quilting-notions.com/ I haven't even looked at it yet so know nothing about it. I'll go check out the site myself now. |
Fabric Folding Pen - great for small pieces - have done full blocks with MANY pieces and never have to iron till the block is done - AND NO STRETCHING of the of pieces - even on bias seams - save a lot of "up and down" to/from my ironing area

Dar - is it the double diamond ruler used for borders? If it is I bought one not too long ago from Bright-Quilting- Notions.com but I haven't had time to use it yet. Try that site if you can't find it, PM me and I will give you the address on the info. pkg .of the ruller. I haven't even opened it up yet, but it says fully illustrated instructions are inside. Jacqstash - what is the folding pen, is it a marking pen? You mentioned that there was no stretching with you blocks even on the bias when you used it. How exactly does it prevent stretching? I'm really curious. Gerbie

I was thinking the other day... dangerous I know. I travel a lot across the Atlantic by plane and like to have projects with me to sew. This has been curtailed due to the tightening of restrictions. You can't take scissors or a metal needle on board to use whilst flying. Can you source plastic needles for cross stitch? And a mechanism like a tooth floss holder with the metal cutter for thread? Just a thought. I am sure that there is a market there.

you all are SO great on this board |
I don't have a quilt shop in my town and I only go to one big quilt show a year. It's easy to keep up with what's new in quilting by reading bogs about quilt market, online shop newsletter, forums, and magazines. Something new and the seller wants the info out there immediately and the first place it's going to be talked about is Facebook. Every big quilting shop/designer/distributor has a facebook page.
