Beautiful colors for sure .. If it was me : meandering stipple-but that is what I use alot on my quilts. I just like it.

Wow! and Double Wow! I love log cabin quilts!
I recently saw a log cabin with cross hatch quilting that looked very pretty. It was a picture I saw on Ravelry.
The Baptist Fan quilting pattern always looks nice on a Log Cabin, kinda breaks up all the straight lines. Beautiful quilt you made.
I would use either a large stipple or simply cross hatch. I like the way crosshatching looks on a quilt top that only uses straight line stitching.

.
The stippling (or even cross hatch) allow the fabric and the piecing to be the star of the quilt; fancy fancy quilting, which is gorgeous, often takes over the quilt. And sometimes the quilting IS meant to be the star. So in the case of your beautiful LC quilt, Let your piecing shine and do a simple all over stitch. |
First of all, BEAUTIFUL QUILT!!! Second.. thanks for the info on the ruler!! I recently took a class on log-cabin how-to and was taught to square off after each log... but this ruler looks GREAT!!
Love your log cabin...that is on my to do list.
Why can't you just go around each block and then make an X diagonally through the centers of each block. For a charity quilt, I would hesitate to put a great deal of time into the quilting.
