Nylon thread question

Are there any suggestions on what type of nylon thread to buy as I want to stitch in the ditch
and use this thread so it doesn't show. Thanks

Nylon or monopoly. I use monopoly by superior but it's not nylon. The one by yli is also nice

It was suggested to me to buy Invisafil, which is a 100 weight thread that is very thin. Superior also sells one like it. It is mono-poly and comes in lots of shades.
I ended up buying an 80 weight because I couldn't get the other and it is working quite well although I'm sure the 100 weight would have been even better. I haven't had any problems with tension.

I have several spools, seems impossible for me to be able to thread the needle. Because it is so hard to see. I used when my eyes were younger and loved it.

I use Superior's monopoly either in the clear or the smoke tint for dark fabrics. It is VERY fine and I have no tension problems (use BottomLine in the bobbin with it). I joke that I have a hard time telling the thread from my very fine, very white hair!

Have you tried using a black marker on the end of the thread. Invisible thread is sooo hard to thread but 'painting' the end black helps. I also hold a piece of white paper in back of my needle - this makes the eye more visible.

I have maybe 5 colors or Invisafil and it's helped me out so much. I would like to get 2-3 more colors. I use it in the top and bottom line in the bobbin.

From my experience YLI is the best. I do reset my tension as with all nylon threads. Top tension needs to be just a tad looser than with regular piecing et. Also I ALWAYS use a top stitch needle when using nylon thread. Good luck.

I use monofilament from Superior threads most of the time. Clear for light colors and white, smoke for dark colors. I have also used Aurifil invisible and YLI. All are good to work with. I use regular ( usually 50-60 wt ) thread in my bobbin.
