Results of Round Two for placement !!
I am trying to get away from a typical rectangle and the need to use so many 1/2 hexes. Will be content to make it 6 or 8 sided, somewhat oblong. I know it's not balanced that way yet, though am stopping now as I'm just too darned tired! I think this round is looking better than the first one ... your comments and suggestions are welcomed! I really like what you have done this far and your colors are really nice.
Ooooohh, your material is really pretty!
So far, so good! |
Thanks ... I wish that my camera was giving as nice of colours for the hexes as it did for the fabric photo. Same camera and the design wall is only about 8 ft from where the fabric was shot. So why?
Dear Moderators ... please forgive me for I have sinned. I just realized that I did not post this to the Picture Board. If you would like to move it, please do! *hangs head in shame* :) |
What is the name of that material please ????
What lovely fabric...looking good!
great! and i love to see the fabric you start with
Very pretty - well done.

I love your fabric and your blocks, unfortunately I can't help, I've never done a OBW, one reason is working with hexagons, but I'm sure you'll get lots of help from others.
Are you using a book for the hexagon pattern? If so could you please clue me in on what it is, I think I just may want to give this a try myself!
Beautiful work, by the way. |

I think your block placement looks very balanced. It has lots of movement and seams to dance. I love the fabric you' re using. This is on my long list of must try this!
