I'm finally off to Joann's today to use the gift cards I got at work for my retirement. I've been chopping at the bit waiting for the sale that starts today. I'm sure I will be coming home with a bundle of goodies! Yippee! :D

Congratulations on your retirement! Nice of them to get you gift cards. When I retired, all I got was shorted $20 on my final paycheck. They were really nasty people who didn't deserve me, as you probably already guessed...Happy to be outta there!

Boy, did I ever get some good deals. I was able to use a couple 40% and a 50% off regular price items plus the 25% off total purchase coupon. I got 12 yards of fabric, a June Taylor creative cut ruler, a mini iron, a 60 mm rotary cutter, quilting gloves, a seam ripper, a marking pen and a couple little craft items. I had a $100 gift card. I spent 99.73 and saved a total of $106.60. That's what I call good shopping! Now I have to start on some projects that I have on my to-do list. That is, after I relax for awhile. :shock: It's 80 degrees here in FL today. I wish I could send some warm weather to all of you up North. I can at least send you some warm wishes.

We are having freezing rain, on top of all that snow...wish I could share!!

They have some great sales going on. I had been wanting the June Tailor Shape Cut ruler and got it 50% off. That right there is $15.00. We don't have 80 degrees. We're at high 50s. Norther came in with 30 mph winds and 45 gusts. That all happened within 30 minutes from 68 degrees. Most of my family live in northern Indiana area, Ft. Wayne area and getting hit hard. I worry for them. I'm a mother!

You will love your 60 mm cutter!! I went, too, and spent $66 and saved $57---a good day!

I never got coupons for this week, but did score big time. got 8 yds of backing Christmas fab for 2.49/yd and 2 more for binding. I saved a lot of money, so much money that the money I did spend didn't even count.

You had a great day shopping, but, I'll take all the warmth you can spare. We are headed toward -23 tonight. Good time to stay inside and sew.

Love gift cards. The sales are super.

Why don't you google them and ask why. Maybe it has to do with the State of Oregon? I think there are some states that don't allow charge or credit cards. Weird.

Have fun shopping. I need to get there to restock some items, but it's been too cold for me to go out. It's 55 out now, but the temps are supposed to drop radically again. Brrr.

That 25% off coupon was great for batting that was already 40% off. Once in a while JoAnn's hits it across the ballpark.

Wow! Some of you really made good hauls at JoAnn's. I'm trying to say out of places like that for a while (well, until the next time anyway). Down here on the coast we're at 28 degrees, looking at 20 in the morning. Not sure what it'll be with the windchill factor. But it'll get up to the mid forties and by Friday, the seventies. I pray for all of you who are having all of that snow and ice.
