I use old folders and the cardboard backing on paper pads for templates. The plastic folders make good templates, they are easy to cut and opaque so you can still see through them when laying the templates on the fabric.

I was at a quilt store today and Cindy showed me a pen that you right with and has an eraser but you can mark with it on cloth and put a hot iron to it and it goes away, I went to Staples and bought a few packs. They were $5.48 for three and on sale with $2.20 off. What a great find.

After having moved my eyes in reading a pattern and doing the same step a couple of times, I place those little transparent arrows (made by 3M)to keep me in the right spot.

I have a magnetic strip about 12" long and 1" wide that I purchased from the auto store. I screwed to the wall to hold all types and sizes of scissors, screwdrivers and whatever else is steel.

I have a lot of 2-3" binders w/ clear plastic pages loaded up with the "good" pages of my magazines, 1/4" and 1" paintbrushes for dusting out the bobbin area, & a "computer" vacuuming kit for my surger.

They are Pilot, Gel Ink ( friXion) black with a grey design on them. 3 in a pack.

I got an assortment of "fasteners" which included some very tiny clothespins. They are fabulous for holding upholstery plastic or leather together so you don't make pin marks! Also had a few very small binder clips and they work for the same purpose.
