Are the feed dogs up or down?

turn the machine off count to 10 (to relax you) then turn back on and it should reset itself. If that doesnt work, take in in for repair. hope you get it working, Vicki

Is the bobbin winder stil set to "wind"? Try pushing it away from the stem that would hold the bobbin.

Check and see if the button on the side for the feed isn't pushed in. If it is your material won't go thru.

Read the little instruction book and clean the machine completely using the instructions there. This should be done fairly frequently if you are using the machine a lot or whenever using soft linty materials. Any machine...not just a Bernina.

Hey! I have the Bernina 1008...mine has a knob on the right hand of the machine, near the bottom...that knob drops the feed dogs on mine and it may do the same thing on yours. And it's easy to have them dropped for something and then forget to raise them up again...and it won't move! If it's not that, I agree with checking the feed dogs to make sure they're not lint-impacted; next step would be a call to your dealer. And I hear your "sigh"...mine has to go in this week for a bobbin holder problem. Good luck!

Don't feel too bad, I've done it myself from time to time. Now I try to clean the lint out when I can see lint in this small open space by my feed dogs. This happens frequently when I have been sewing a lot. I don't have a Bernina, so I thought I couldn't help, but reading this comment, I had to comment to you that I've been there done that, as my Janone did the same thing. Have a great sewing day.

Glad to hear you got Matilda going again. It is amazing how much lint gathers under the feed dogs!

So happy you solved your problem. Sometimes it can be such a simple thing.

My 801 started making clicking noises with each stitch. Changing the needle and cleaning it out made all the difference and it is purring again.

I hope it is an easy fix for you.

Cheers, K

yep!!! I am amazed how much of a problem a little bit of lint can be in those feed dogs!!! ask me how I know too!!!!
