OOOPS, I oiled my machine again as I do on a regular basis. Forgot to run on scraps before getting back to quilting. How do I get rid of the oil on my quilt? About 3" on a block. thanks

Dawn dish detergent breaks down oil. Perhaps you can dip the oiled part of quilt in a pan of sudsy detergent & blot dry with a towel until you finish the quilt & wash the whole quilt.

Gosh how many times I've done this, usually its when I'm in the quilting phase.

I have done this too........it usually washes out ok when I finish the quilt and put it in the washing machine (I always wash my completed quilts, since I have dogs and am afraid someone will have an allergy attack and turn purple and yellow because of me!)

I use Dawn original for grease removal on clothes. I pretreat the stain and it works every time.
