You are not alone. I was thinking POOR me! Out of work, no extra money for extra fabric shopping (cottons have only been so so any way), prices have been going up just like gas, etc.. So I went into the extra closet to get a box (for mail), came out with 5 different fabrics of 41/2 yards each or more. DH said I thought you said you didn't have any new fabric! I looked him in the eye and said "THIS OLD STUFF" What he doesn't know is I have more tucked away (I hide my fabric) lol. He also doesn't know about the WALL of fabric at my mom's. So as I said YOUR NOT ALONE!!

If all your fabric fit on the top of the bed, I don't think your addiction has taken its toll badly enough to be called a "fabricaholic". :)

Yes it's a healthy addiction.
Yes we can escape to our own little woman cave.
Yes the family will survive the entire weekend.
And Yes they don't mind since it will keep us quiet.

No guilt here since I need the time to myself, to be a better parent, grandmother and to be happy.

No guilt either for being creative, giving my family warm quilts to cuddle with and continuing with a great tradition.

My stash has grown but I use it. I am able to pick what I need for the next project without having to go and buy. I promised myself to shop at home until I had no other options but to buy in order to finish a project. What I really need is to stock up on muslin and adhessive spray. Other than that, I must make do.

I wish there was an inbetween one that was inexpensive that did the quilting for us. I tried to do the machine quilting with an embroidery design and i sure couldn't get it to work, I can't even stitch in the ditch without wrinkles....I'll be one of those ones who has tops but none are useful because they aren't finished..and I sure can't afford to send them out to do :( Somedays when I get the top finished, I figure I should just throw it out because it will never get done anyway lol There's only so many placemats and table toppers a person can do...but I'm smilin ..
