I need to do my nieces quilt next she is turning 3. My sister will take care of the quilt very well and see that Aliyah does as well. I want a pattern that is semi quick but looks more difficult. :) Any suggestions?

check out the quilters cache. They have lots of block patterns to cruise thru, and they show how it would look in a completed quilt as well as some others have done.

scroll down to the drop down and go to free block patterns.

enjoy!

I did a baby quilt for a gift using Warm Wishes. Very easy and looks very nice.

What type of fabric do you have in mind? Large scale prints, small?

Warm Wishes sounds great to me.

I made a 'Dora the Explorer' Sawtooth Star (from Quilter's Cache) for my 3 year old granddaughter. :)
I fussy cut the Dora's (5" or 6"?), for the middle of the stars.
It turned out really cute, and was quite easy!
:) :)

This is my favorite pattern. I made it for my 2 granddaughters for their birthday, one was 3, the other 5. PM me if you'd like the pattern

I made a quilt called hugs and kisses - it is really fast to make, and simple - take for instance 10" squares like a layer cake and 5" squares like a charm pack. Make the diagonal on the charm squares and pin them to the diagonal corners of the 10"square. Sew on the marked line. Cut 1/4" away from the sewn edge and you get a 10" block. Sew as many as you like then you can arrange by alternating into o's and x's or hugs and kisses. Here is a picture of the finished top...
