I would make my yoy-yo's from different sized circles, then applique them onto a backing fabric, add batting and backing, then bind it

Dianne, go to www.amybutlerdesign.com. Click on her free patterns, they have a very similar quilt pattern called Bloom Quilt for free! Down load and go. It gives instructions and measurments. I got mine of the website several months ago but have not started or should I say attempted it yet. Show it to your daughter and I'll bet she will love the Amy Butler fabrics too, my 18 year old daughter did!

Thank everyone!

Just throwing another thought into this beautiful quilt...am wondering if batting is necessary; it might really get heavy. I'd sew the yo-yo's to a double backing and leave it at that.
