I've had My Mother in Laws singer fashion mate 237
now since she passed....I use a Kenmore (janome)
16231 anyhow was making a credit card wallet this morning and the bobbin thread left a trail of jumbled up
stuff on the corners because of the thickness I guess...( and here I thought it was heavy duty *L*)
so when I got done I hauled it out cleaned and oiled it up
and learned how to thread it *LOL* as it is different and now i just need to learn tension on it and will give it a shot on something tomorrow....

Sometimes we just have to drop back 6 steps and try again! Good luck :!:

I've got a Fashion Mate 237 as my backup machine. If you want I can send you a PDF of the manual (if that will help any). I've got it saved on my computer @ home, but I won't be there probably for another 4 hours or so.
