Duh....How do you make them?
I recently saw the wreath posted by patrickcam and thought it was cute. I read through the posts and some like to use a yo-yo maker and others don't. I have never learned to make them. Could someone explain how to do this with a cardboard template or whatever.
I checked the tuts but didn't find anything.
Thanks.

Here a link to a youtube video that I found when I was looking at yo yos. It looks like fun.

I went to Joann's and bought the Yo Yo maker by Clover for 4.99 and it's great and easiest way to make them

yoyo maker is quick, all come out uniform in sz and I don't have to fuss getting the edge turned nicely

I just bought a yo-yo maker over the weekend, so easy to use. I'm addicted.

Yes, you can make them using any sized circle. Remember that the finished yo you is approximately half the size of the circle you use. Leave enough fabric so that you can iron over to the back of your circle template just enough to make a seam allowance. Take straight stitches around the template edge or just at the underside of the edge leaving a long tail... being consistant. When you have gone around the circle leave enough thread so you can pull the start and ending threads together to form your yo yo.

That is labor intensive.

Using the Clover you you makers you have the template or size of circles to cut. Pop the fabric into the yo yo maker. Sew through the holes of the yo yo maker leaving long tails. Follow the directions ... popping the fabric out of the yo you maker and gather the thread ends to form your yo yo.

This is quick and easy.
