Is this old or just looks like it?

Any idea of the age? To me it looks like older men's shirts, but the yellow is a linen type. This was a top I was given and long armed it to get some experience. The quilt is 80"x80",

This an old pattern but I have seen it a lot on magazines recently. From what I can see from my phone the red looks newer. Looks like you did a good job quilting it

I would say it is older.

Not sure, they sell those shirt-like fabrics now and that pattern is coming around again like they all do from time to time. Nice quilting job!

I think it's older shirts and newer red fabric squares combined. Good job quilting.
|
I think it is older due to the more open weave of the yellow fabric. Hard to say for sure as Bonnie Hunter shows how to debone men's shirts for quilting material.

Looks like some of the fabric I have in my stash

Thanks for the help...I was thinking it was older, but didn't know. It is a fun one though!

The block is called "Granny Square". If enlarged to the size of a whole quilt top, it is known as "Trip around the World." This looks to be made of real mens' shirts, and it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I'm working on Granny Squares, myself, using greens to represent Ireland, a Work in Progress for me.

Looks like men's shirts and the yellow could be anything (vintage sheeting perhaps???). Whatever it is it is beautiful. You did a great job with the quilting.
