Old Rotary blades?

For years when I had a rotary blade that was dull I would just throw it away. I had researched on line about resharpening them but it never seemed to work for me. About a month ago I read about a company that would recycle used rotary blades and either send you new ones for your replacemet or you can buy new ones with no exchange... so I thought why not try it....I am MORE than impressed with the company! I sent them 9 blades and $18 and they returned me 9 blades, postage paid and they are wonderful! You can either get Olfa or generic .Has anyone else ever used lpsharp.com out of Gilman MN? I will definitely use them again..

Thanks for this info. I will give it a try! From what I have read the things we can purchase to resharpen are not really worthwhile.

It would be at least worth a shot!

Sounds like I need to try it out!!

I will give them a try. I have so many that I put into the old packaging because it seems so wasteful to throw them away although I've never tried to sharpen on my own. I keep thinking if I totally ran out of blades I would at least have some that might work. Thanks for the tip!

I save my old blades to cut wrapping and other kinds of paper, but this sounds worth looking into.

That's a very good price.

I just looked at the site and the price now for 45mm is $3.50/blade. May still be worth it! Thanks.

I TOO never had any real luck with trying to resharpen the blades. Interesting concept. Please keep us updated on how long the blades last.
