Has anyone tried the Oliso auto-lift iron. I'm thinking about trying it because I sometimes have trouble lifting my iron to a sitting position due to problems with my wrist. I'd appreciate hearing some feedback about this iron, if anyone has tried it. Thanks.

I have a quilting buddy who has had one for about 2 years now. We are both "iron nuts." She loves hers. I chose not to get one because I would find it popping up everytime I let go... to be disconcerting... but again... she loves hers.

It seems to me it is a bad habit to get into.
I have a Rowenta small travel iron with steam. It is light weight and is perfect for piecework as it dosnt distort your fabric.

don't think I would like one of these.

I have one and it's great. Love it. You can turn off the auto-lift if you don't want to use it.

I used one on a weekend quilt retreat. By the end of the retreat I was in love with it. Could not believe how much less fatigued I was when ironing.

I prefer cheap irons also.
