Good luck...hope the sewing machine technician helps...let us know the ending, OK? Positive thoughts coming your way. :-)

Oh! I hate it when something breaks! It's great to have a place to come and have so many say "been there, done that" with great sympathy and mean it.

I've started using those little red clips for tight areas. So many times I've heard " don't sew over pins"!!! ( I know you weren't, but the result was the same, unfortunately), and I guess this is why. Hope it gets fixed up quickly!

I feel your pain. Almost as bad as shutting your little child's fingers in the car door.

That does give one a sick feeling doesn't it!! Hope the fix is minor and you get your machine back quickly.

So sorry - it's painful!!

This is why I remove the pins before I get to them. I have seen on some sewing shows that people will sew right over a pin. At some point, the needle and the pin will meet, and off to the sewing machine repair store. Hope it wasn't damaged too much.

Check to see if your feed dog up/down button or lever is in the up position. The trauma could have caused it to change. I am not familiar with the Janome model. I have numerous Janome machines and you are correct, all workhorses, therefore, they are tough. It will probably be an easy fix.

Hope the "fix" isn't to expensive. I really like my Brother 1500 the most trouble free machine I have ever owned. Yesterday I accidently sewed over a pin, heard the sound, offered a little prayer, lucked out no harm done. If it had gone the other way I know how awful I would feel. Good luck!
