I think you could make it from any size squares and it would be lovely.

Go for it. I have taken many one block patterns up to 60" and used as baby quilts!. I use Quilt Pro software to figure my new sizes. Easy peasy!

I believe it is called Boxy Stars or something close to that. I am planning to audition fabric this afternoon.
