Have never heard nor seen this pattern until I joined this wonderful group....anyway, while searching for the best price for the book, I went to ebay and saw one there being bid on for $80.00!! Its origination is UK, and the bid seems to be in AU$$$, and I don't know the rate of exchange, but that does seem excessive.....I went to amazon.com and could pick it up for $13-- WOW quite a big difference......How many here have the book and like the design...looks intriguing to me....always looking for something different to try and I thought this might be it.

Jump in and try an OBW, they are lots of fun if you like having the element of surprise. You never know exactly what you are going to get with them, I love doing them.

look at Connecting Threads the books there go on sale often and they were shipped quickly when I ordered mine.

Wow, $80.00 is pretty steep. I got mine from Amazon, and I paid less that $20.00 including shipping. You have to keep your eyes open, and watch for good sales. They are fun to make, and you don't know what you will have until you get it up on your design wall.

thanks for all the info on obw the tutorial reference was good. These are primarily stack n whacks right? My question is this-these end up being hexes....do you square up with hst on four corners or do you deal with sewing hexes together? I will have to order the book from amazon.com no other source I could find. I have a few large amounts of kooky fab that will finally become something!!!!!

well, I did it--I went to amazon.com found obw and what I guess is its sequel...using more than one fabric...so I ordered both books...unfortunately best prices were not from the same seller, but you will hear from me when these books come in.....like I need more books!!!...Anyone looking for some older books-I probably have it, maybe I will sell it.........
