Which one to buy

I have the money to buy either the baby go or the accuquilt go. Which one should I buy?
Are they easy to maintain.

The go you will have many more dies to choose from Buy dies on e bay much cheaper

If you have the money I would go with the regular go over the baby go. All the baby go dies can be used in the regular go, but not the other way around, so the regular go will end up being more versatile.

Hope that helps!

If you are just going to use it for applique then the Baby is sufficient- however if you are looking to cut geometrical shapes, MORE strips then one at time, Use the large hexagon, the large Rag or even the large tumbler then the GO is what you should get..

the Baby is limited in which does you can use.. the GO uses any accuquilt GO/Baby dies..

FYI- buy lots of mats.. they are basically disposable..

I love my GO- wish I had the space for the Studio..

I now have TWO GO's.. Mine died five years later and went in to get fixed and hubby got me a new one to have while my first is in the shop.. Yay Hubby !!!

I would still go with QuiltCut2. Mine has been going for years. No gears. Unless you can get a couple of you to go together and buy the accuquilt.

I also have what was called a third hand by a Mr Quilt. Don't think he is in business anymore though. It was basically a Brooklyn Revolver squared with a clamp that went from he side to right over the center of the revolving part. I put my fabric down, place my template, screw down the clamp, and cut turning the revolving part as I go. My templates stay in place and my pieces are perfect! I can send a picture if anyone has a DH or someone who might want to make them one.

My templates ... again: if not available at a deep discount I have made by my local plastics company. Though I have used exposed Xray film at times.

Ah I knew I had heard of this before. I have (almost literally) 5 lbs of MRI films siting in my house. I suppose this is the same type of film. There are no dangers in using exposed film? (I don't see how!...) Would sure like to get something out of these thousands of dollars worth of films!

I purchased the Go Baby and have never taken it out of the box! I paid $139 for it and $10 for a pad. I will gladly sell both for $100 if anyone is interested. I don't have any dies, and I just can't get motivated to use it. Any takers? I am in SE Alabama. Linda

On the Accuquilt Facebook page they have special sales for Fans of Accuquilt. Last week the Go Baby for $139 included the Alex Anderson's die set free and that is over $125 worth of dies. It's amazing the sales that the quilt companies have on their Facebook page. It's usually up for a day and and gone the next. No emails about it. I have both the Go and the Baby. I use them equally as much. The Go will take all the dies, the Baby will take only the narrow dies.
