Grrr almost all the squares I sewed yesterday I had to rip out today because I sewed them wrong. I knew I should have put it aside but want to get the top done. Now I am back to starting over. Anyone else have days like that?

Hee Hee, more often then not!

If I push myself or am tired.....even the sewing machine acts up. The next day it seems to be fine. I have to stop or it just makes extra work.

The frog strikes again rip-it rip-it :D

I like that- "The frog strikes again" I woll have to hang a froggy picture by my sewing machine to remind me to slow down!

I choose to call those days 'practice days' when everything I sew is wrong. The next day everything is a breeze! :):)

Unfortunately I have way too many of those days

Oh, that happens to me ALL the time.
Hubby laughs at me because I always have my seam ripper in my mouth. I'm a smoker and I'm trying to quit, so it's either a pin (long quilters pin) or the seam ripper that I have.
Hubby has learned that when he wants to give me a quick kiss, to check and see what is sticking out of my mouth.
Plus, with the seam ripper, it's a handy place to keep it, since I can lose it pretty easily on my sewing table. :)

I'm having one of those days and it's going to last a few more... LOL I am ripping out 12 braids for my French Braid quilt, decided I didn't like one color in it....so I am having a long meaningful affair with my stitch ripper now. :)

Everybody I know has days like that, except this neighbor who always sews everything perfectly the first time.

Sometimes my seam ripper smokes I use it so much.

I almost spit my coffee out when I read that!
I'm going to have to use that line.......
Too funny!

When I started sewing I was told that a seam ripper is my best friend - we've spent a lot of quality time together in the past six months.

Guess I'll just join the crowd!

gee, you would have thought i did that post. happens to me all the time, especially when i sew after i should have gone to bed...

reva 03-28-2008 10:54 AM

Funny you should ask that - my 11 year old son has made two table runners this past two weeks - he says the seam ripper and he are best friends... :) and are fast becoming one.

I"M SORRY! I know how frustrating that is. I have plenty of days like this....

tlrnhi 03-28-2008 03:53 PM

Yuppers! The seam ripper is my buddy. We have our intimate time together ALL the time. I just hope hubby doesn't find out how much time I spend with Mr SR. He might get jealous! ;)
