You could make a list of the features you really like about each one and the things that are persnickety about each one. Then compare the lists and see which two rise to the top. I bet it will be the ones you use the most. I could see keeping the one with the embroidery unit IF you actually use it (and I am a Baby Lock fan).

I had multiple machines in the past and came to the realization that having more than 2 is silly FOR ME. I have no interest OR SPACE to collect machines. So I ended up gifting my others to my GFs as hand-me-downs. I now have one as a main machine and one backup and travel machine. Works great.

I haven't read all the other posts, so hope I am not repeating. I love my Bernina 1230 and would not give it up. However, the 1230 and 1530 are OLD machines and the mother boards can go out on them. I believe new mother boards for these machines are no longer available because the factory that produced them burned down years ago and Bernina decided to just concentrate on the newer machines. I do not know how old your Janome and Baby Lock machines are, in comparison, or what all they can do compared to the 1530.

A lot depends on how much you can afford to spend later on to replace a machine if one of the two you keep goes up the spout. Without knowing the specifics of your machine, my guess is that the Janome would be the easiest one to replace at a low cost. I would keep the Bernina and use it until it no longer works.

Do you plan to attend classes or workshops? If so, you might want to keep the lightest machine for travel.

I am not familiar with the bernina. Is it portable. I have the Brother version of the unity and I personally would never part with it I would get rid of one of the other 2 but not knowing much about the bernina I would probably keep the janome

One consideration not yet mentioned - travel distance to nearest service/repair shop/dealer, especially since you have 3 different brands of machines.

i'd keep the sewing/emb machine first. don't know anything about the others.

I would keep the two you use the most also, but if you love all three then see if there is a little hide a way somewhere you could put one until you need it. :)

Put the smallest one in a box in the bottom of the closet.

I totally agree, especially having the emb attached.

I wouldn't get rid of any of them yet. When you get moved in, then decide. They are small & don't take up much room & you will probably regret it if you get rid of it now. Don't go through the heart ache. Take your time & really think about it & you will probably keep all 3. This is what I would do anyways. Good luck in your new home! Happy quilting!
