Today on you tube I found a video with Ricky Tim and Alex Anderson. My question
How do you figure out the formula in order to use this technique in other demensions? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance

Don't throw darts at me if I am wrong, but I think I understand. Decide on the size of the outside squares. Then double it and subtract 1/2" to find the length of the folded goose piece.

For example 4" squares
4 + 4 - 1/2" = 7 1/2, so the the goose is 4" x 7 1/2"
or
5" squares
5 + 5 - 1/2" = 9 1/2, so the goose is 5" x 9 1/2"

Clear as mud???

I think that method is dimensional?

I'll give a try tomorrow and will let you know. It's pretty slick if it does and dimentional too. Am doing a block of the month that has applique wool and pieced blocks.

That's correct. The rectangle should be cut the same height as the squares, and the length should be 1/2" less than twice that of the squares.
