I agree, lights are hard to find... I wondered why, is it because they are not as popular? or are they just coming out with more of them?
I have many med and dark colors, but would love more lights to add to my stash :D:D:D

Why do you suppose it's hard to find the lighter shades? Is it because when you think batik, you think deep, rich colors, not pastels? And so maybe the shops buyers are just not drawn to the paler ones?

I like blues/greens/teals and purples.

Ohhhh be still my beating heart! I'd take them all! LOL Oh my, how do you even begin to make a decision? Where can we order from you? I am new here.

The batiks that seem to sell the fastest at my LQS are the teals. I can never get enough! LOL

Well, Pantone's color of the year for 2010 is turquoise, which is close to teal... though I doubt any of us are going to be very influenced by their marketing trends. I think we buy the colors that appeal to us!

I like grape juice and green lime.

one of our LQS carries tons of batiks and she has a hard time keeping the creams and light stuff in stock, it goes really fast

Since you can't do one of each, the 'basics' and the lighter tones.

It is hard to find the really light batiks, so I recommend them.

I love all colors of batiks but I confess that I wouldn't buy really dark one, like black or hunter green or crimson. I also like the ones that have a bunch of colors in them. I love to use them as the main fabric in a quilt and then build the rest from some of the colors in the main one.

Hope this helps...
