Good luck! I think the hardest color to come by is Peach!

Favorites: blues, reds, pinks, purples, greens, yellows

Least favorite: hmmm, probably orange although done right looks great.

Alway's looking for a good white, black, cream on cream.

Customer service is a #1 priority. Greet the customer or at least acknowledge them in some way. Whether the customer is experienced quilter or first time in a quilt shop, teach your help to ask the customers good questions about their skills, knowledge of quilting/sewing, likes/dislikes, etc.

My friend wanted fabric for her mom to make a quilt for her new home and their king size bed. She wanted shams and pillowcases to match. We're talking over $300.00 in fabric. The clerks never greeted her, never asked her any questions, looked at her like she was a moron, and my friend never bought the fabric. I did witness all of this and I did not buy more than $40.00 mdse. because of their lack of service or interest. This was an upscale LQS in Annapolis, MD recently. Boy, was I disappointed.

I love blues and fall colors.

I dont see many yellows in our lqs. Sometimes a soft yellow will brighten a quilt block.

I can never find cream on creams or yellows.
My least favourite colours would be brown and grey.
Love batiks, but even they are hard to find at a LQS.

Orange. I'd say, I don't like a lot of orange but here is my advice. Look at it yourself and say, "Now, do I like this and what would I do with it? Would it look good in a quilt and what would go with it. Would it make a cute dress? After you anwser yourself, you'll know. In other words, if you like it someone else will.

I just love to find "pull together" fabrics. A nice variety of very lights and background fabrics are sometimes hard to find. Am always looking for good stack'n whack prints and orientals.
Have been making things for my Gr kids so am always looking for classy juvinile fabric.
