I have an internet site on quilting. I am working on projects for the beginning quilter. I have done a Christmas table runner. My question is should I put the directions on my site with Christmas fabric, even though it is after Christmas, or should I do another one that's not Christmas. I want my site to look professional.

Thanks,

Janie

It wouldn't bother me that it was in Christmas fabrics but if your looking to be professional I would do one in non-Christmas fabrics. JMHO. Good luck with your site and have fun!

I would do them both, sometimes a beginning quilter doesnt see the potential in a pattern or design it other colorways or fabrics.

What she said

What is the name of your site?

Yep I agree, do both. It is surprising how different fabrics can make a block look different.

Thank you,

What a neat site! I've added it to my favorites. I'm interested in learning applique this year and I'll definitely be using this as a reference. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with other posters that since the site is designed for newbies, having a variety of fabrics will help others to see the project's potential. Unless they start out as fabric collectors, a lot of people try to copy something they like as close to the original example. Plus, once they do one, they'll feel comfortable doing others for themselves or for gifts.
